Alex, a seventeen year old girl lives among a faction of people known as the tainted in the walled city of ventomo. 
When she told people about her recurring nightmare of a woman she has never seen before, she is labelled as the 'freak' and 'curse' of the city. 
I mean who was to blame? No one has a recurring dream for three years!
Her life which was already messed up, worsened from the moment the new resident of vetomo, Jace Walker looked at her. 
 'Who was he? With that arrogant smirk of his and too-hot-for-life face? I hate him. '
Alex is given a life turning choice by jace who apparently knows more than her than he knows herself. 
Is she up for an adventure?
Or would she continue to live her normal messed up life in vetomo?

He wanted to get her angry at him, so she'd fight back, but instead, he put himself in the situation, where Mal feels threatened by him, and she goes into defensive mode. When the paparazzi gets ahold of this, as well as Ben's parents, what will go down?
