It was as if the world stood still in that moment I heard them breaking through the door, my head whipped round to see the dead start to pour into the room. Adrenaline pumped through my body as I jumped up onto my feet and pulled out my machete. I stood still evaluating the situation , my heart beating so fast, there were too many to fight off. I turned around, grabbed Rose's hand and ran over to the window. My eyes widened at the sight as I looked down and saw the breath taking jump to the next building, making me fear what was coming next knowing that was our only escape. I turned around, slicing the head of the undead creature right off its neck , protecting Nevaun from getting bitten. As He swung his axe right over my head , hitting another zombie square in the head, sending a spray of blood all over the back of me. I shivered in disgust.
"We have to jump!" I screamed at everyone at the top of my lungs, I looked around to see if anyone heard but they were either eaten or eating some one else. The sight broke my heart, this was my family. I knew I was being too slow in making my decisions, but all I could concentrate on was the sound of my heart beating in my chest. I quickly pulled Naomi to the floor by the hood of her jacket and away from the corpse that nearly took a chunk from her neck and watched her throw a knife into its head with what seemed no effort at all. Quicker than I have ever moved before I stepped forward to stop the zombie that I saw coming for me from the corner of my eye, but I stopped dead in my tracks as my heart sank deep in my chest.
I realised the zombie I was facing, was Rose...

The Touch of Infection
Carisa's been running for her life the past two years. Loosing her loved ones and anyone she grows close to. The apocalypse was caused by an alien raise coming to earth and proclaiming they'll fix the planet. Their way to 'fix' it being destroying humanity with a plague. However they didn't expect the human body to be as persistent as it is, the infection they spread mutating and making humans reanimate with a hunger for flesh. They thought they could contain it, control it even, but it's spreading faster than they thought. The world is dying faster than ever before. And Carisa only want to survive, to make it to the next day, bumping into an Alien she thought she'd be petrified. But upon further inspection... their not that much different that humans. Curiosity at its peek with both of them and so she gains a tail always creeping behind her. The aliens just won't let her go. Story is written on my free time so it has a lot of typos, sorry. The bones in her body were breaking and bending joint by joint. Her muscles were tensing, bending and twisting. Tears streamed down her face as her just audible groans squeaked from her throat. She could only make out the dark ominous figure as it continued to inject the serum into her heart. Her breathing became so erratic that it caused her to lose conscience but only for seconds at a time. She could feel new appendages growing from her head and back. Even her tail bone was bending and snaking its way from her body and protruding from her posterior. Her teeth began to change shape and length as her jaw reshaped its self to form around the new arrivals. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning... Trina was a devout Christian and history buff. She had gained fame and a small fortune from her discoveries. However, she wanted nothing more than to prove that Heaven and Hell did exist and was willing to get the evidence anyway she could. She had no idea what she was about to release upon herself or the world... Vincent was a brilliant detective in solving histories greatest mysteries from the empty honey comb tombs of Bohol to the recently discovered city of Atlantis. His latest dig would unearth a gate that would tear our world apart and bring another into it... Looking for evidence in the bible is one thing. Finding it is apocalyptic... I pull him quickly as he recovers from the fall, despite feeling drowsy from the chloroform. The man must have recovered by now and chances are he's gaining on us at lightning speed. I feel Michael catch himself under his feet and speed up having recovered from the fall. He looks to me, "Split up?" I nod knowing exactly what he's thinking. There's only one of him and two of us, he can't take us both out. Just as we approach the lake, we split, confusing the man. He had stopped and was watching us both run away, probably evaluating which one of us he had a better chance with. I turn back to look where I'm going when I hear a loud bang. I scream. Pain flares up in my lower leg as though something bit me. The bullet ripped through my leg but stopped as I clearly have no exit wound. Expecting the man to have almost caught up with me, I look up only to see his back as he runs after Michael. *** 18 year old Blaze is kidnapped and taken from her home town along with her best friend Michael. When she gets there she easily assumes what they could want from her. Drugs, sex, money? But what if, it's something more? Something that never crossed Blaze's mind? The Dark Side
A click sounds from somewhere and within seconds everything around me sets on fire. I step back and hear the roaring flames from all around me. But, when I step back there's a harsh gust of wind in my direction. I glance behind me and see the fire open up a like a trail. Without much thought about the strange occurrence of events, I turn and begin walking that way. As I walk the fire continues making a trail for me to walk until I quickly stop. I'm at the edge of a cliff and ahead of me is burning land. Trees burn to ashes and all of the greenery burns until there's nothing left, but a large creature. The IX. My eyes widen as I step back, but the flames appear behind me, stopping me. The IX turns to face me. His eyes are empty holes. This time I don't make any sound. I stand tall atop the cliff and feel something in my hand. I look down in my hand and see a dagger in my hand. The creature roars loudly, before running towards me with frightening speed. I hold the dagger, ready to throw it. Once it's basically right in front of me, I throw the dagger. It slices through the air, straight towards the creature...Complete

I stood there leaning against the door for a second. Then screams reached my ear. I looked to where it came from and saw a girl at the other end of the hall laying on the ground with a gaping hole in her stomach. Three other students had ripped away at the girl's insides and were chewing it up. One paused for a second and looked up at me. He stood up and I panicked. I knew him. He was in my chorus class. August was his name. He had blond, curly hair, blue eyes, and was probably the tallest person in the entire school. August opened his now bloody mouth and let out a screech that sent chills down my spine. He leaped over the other two cannibals and the now dead girl and broke into a sprint. As soon as he leaped I had also started running. I made it out of the 300 hall and hid behind the vending machine that stood at the entrance of the hall. Seconds later, August was standing just inches from me. He looked around and I stayed as quiet and still as I possibly could. I didn't even breathe. After what seemed like years of waiting, August turned back toward the dead girl and walked out if sight. I stayed where I was for a little bit longer until my lungs demanded I start breathing again. Directly in front of me was the library and cafeteria. To the right of the cafeteria was the auditorium and the music hall. "If I could just make it to the chorus room maybe I'll find some of my friends," I thought to myself. I was about to take my first step when I looked down at my shoes. They were brand new and when I walked, they squeaked. I took my shoes off as quietly as I could. I had my Captain America socks on and I knew I'd have to take those off as well. I just couldn't risk slipping. Once my feet were bare I took off in a quiet sprint towards the music hall. How awesome is that cover though!? Lol my dad made it.Complete
