It's been said that every child's dream is in some way that child's parents' greatest fear.
That couldn't be more true in the case of Delphine Rovade. Her nan had always told her she was special, different, gifted; and she knew there was something about her that set her apart from the other girls at her school. She never understood what that something was until the night of her 15th birthday. The night when she realised just how different she was from those other girls.
She was different, but certainly not from everyone.

There was many things people didn't know about Jaycee, and there was many things Jaycee barely knew about herself. She barely knew who her parents were, since she lived in an orphanage, but she knew she missed them. She could remember the love they showed her, even if it was a conventional way of showing love.
