The rain fell mercilessly, the sky was covered in dark clouds and their was nothing I could do about it . I knew he was their he always was . I could feel his presence and yet I couldn't see him. "I know your there!." I shouted , but was he really? , I only had a feeling that he was there by the feeling of the hairs on the back of my neck standing up when ever he was close . 'This better work unless I'm surly mental and I'm surly gonna die' I thought. It was now or never, I hope I'm right, I've got nothing to loose anyways, I already have nothing that's worth saving. I looked across at the edge of the roof top, hesitation ran threw my body but was gone in a second just like the strikes of lightening that flashed or struck every now and then. I looked around one last time up at the dark thick sky that hid the afternoon sundown. I embraced the feeling of every single rain drop that fell on my skin. He never expected to find out so soon, what it was like to die, but he did. He never wanted to find out what it was like to be a Fallen angel but he still fell and he certainly did not want to be a part of hell and its Angels but he wanted revenge. For hundreds of years, Death roamed the earth killing and collecting evil souls and dragging them down to the bottomless pit of hell. Masking his pain with terror, he continues to wreak havoc, destroying every thing and everyone in his path; robbers, bullies, murderers. He despises them down to his very core. He was cold and heartless. Now sat a empty hole in the space where his heart should've been. He thought he had lost everything, but did he really? Only time can tell. ************** Aylin Valenski spent her days with her nose almost always in a book and working at the aquarium. Her life was very normal, great siblings, friends and no problems or at least so it seems for now. A chilling event at the hospital leaves Aylin rethinking her life. When Aylins eyes meet those of Death, what will happen? Will memories be resurfaced or will evil separate them again? ***************************************** "You're not heartless, you are just in pain. Heartless would mean that you didn't care at all and from where I see it, you do care even if it's the size of the tiniest grain of sand you'd ever find. You are just in pain and just like the rain, it will go away eventually, no matter how long the rain lasts, the rainbow will eventually come and the rain will stop. You do care." -S. PERSAUD
