Creator: Friend or Foe?
This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental. A month of Felix Katt's running internal monologue as she brings a kidney to a hospital, gets hijaked by a rival 'Runner', loses her favourite gun and gets invited to a ball. The story is based on the original Shakespearean work, but I tried to make it deeper to capture and cherish all of the moments we shared together.
