The Colony of Roanoke was settled in 1585 by English Puritans in North Carolina near the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. By 1587, all the settlers had vanished from the settlement without a trace, forever being known as The Lost Colony of Roanoke. Only one clue as to the disappearance was found, carved on the side of the abandoned fortress - Croatoan.

Mia Greenwood and her family have recently moved from Massachusetts to a small town in Tennessee. The adjustment has been rough for a 17-year-old that still has to ride the school bus, but Mia is taking each day one at a time. Any change to her dull life would have to be a good change, right?   

While taking a test at school, Mia is shocked when a hooded figure mysteriously appears outside the window. A young man with piercing silver eyes stares back. But before she can speak - he disappears. Being brave, and ruthless, Mia seeks out the silver-eyed boy and finds there is a lot more to her family's history, and herself, than she ever knew. An ancient and powerful magic lies in her blood, waiting to be awoken, and a centuries-old enemy of her family is coming for her.  

Everything is changing with the seasons as Mia harnesses her own power. And the best part is, it's only getting colder.

Her mother never told her that witches were meant to have a circle. Violet was alone. She got her magic from her mother. Her father never really spoke of the subject. This story is set in the late 15th century american colonies, during the witch trials in salem and the like. This a sort of indirect prequal to my main story in this "Vampire-verse". The good news is this can be read independability to the main story, so you should be able to follow most of everything. I love this a lot because of how much research I did on the time period and Witch-Hunts in general, and while I do add my own spin on this "alternate" history (Such as knights existing in this time, for reasons that i have fleshed out), I think for the most part you history nerds will have a bit of fun with this one. Unless I have errors. Then we're both fucked. Enjoy!
