In 2092 humanity has figured out how to keep power plants on our moon. During an experiment an asteroid hits the power plant causing radiation to fly into space, the radiation effects the power on earth, the world has a massive black out, the temperatures drop. Along with spontaneous animal mutations. Going outside is a risk, knowing that mutations can be caused just by breathing.

You just happen to be one of those people with the rare blood and you drive in an attempt to escape the clutches of the Obelus.
