Naomi was a writer! Or at least, that's what she told herself. She was on a trip to a small town called Beach City, where strange creatures called gems could be found. Little was known about them, and she wanted to change that. She was going to write a book, one exploring Gem culture and how the aliens worked.

What she wasn't planning on was growing attached. To the town, to the people, and to one gem in particular.

There he meets a young boy named Steven and his four caretakers called the Crystal Gems named Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Spinel, with the four of them knowing his mother. What he never expected when he met them was to be pulled into an adventure he'd never thinker he be a part of. He will go up against other Gems from outer space, crime lords, and demons, but he will not face them alone. The odds are against them, it won't be easy, but they're not going to do this alone. Why? Because they are the Crystal Gems, they always save the day, and if you think they can't, they always find the way!
