July 11th, 1899, two weeks before the strike. 
The tension in New York grew as Newsies' failed to sell the measly headlines. A newsboy by the alias Jack Kelly had been raising suspicion with ideas of a somewhat strike. The World ate up every last penny he paid them, and for what? So he could haul a hundred "papes" around Manhattan Square. 

Times were lonely and dull. Sure he had the Newsies, but they were in the same boat as him. He needed someone who could take him out of the stink of Manhattan.

Enter, Davey Jacob.

What could possibly make Spot so shaken up he'll hand over Brooklyn? What could make Jack so shaken he'd give up Manhattan? Only one thing: Race and David have been taken. But where? How? Why? But why do they care so much about them? Well, first we need to go back to the beginning. We need to go on their journey with them. From their first meeting, to working side by side in the strike, to growing closer and falling in love, and all the things in between, dealing with the problems their kinds face in the unforgiving world. But the whole thing is bigger than all of them. This isn't a fight for just Newsies anymore--it's a fight for love, family, friends, rights for all, and the fight for the right to exist in a world like this and the right to tell those stories. It's been over a year since the strike has settled and the newsies haven't had any problems with Pulitzer since. But that's not to say that they didn't all have problems outside of work. Jack and Katherine were unhappy together. They didn't feel the love towards each other that they used to feel. Yet they were too scared to say something to one another. Crutchie wanted for his long-time crush to love him back, although he knew that would never happen. Still, one could dream. Davey and Les's father had been severely injured by an incident at work. He wasn't so lucky this time around and passed away due to blood loss. This drove their mother into a state of insanity, forcing Davey and Les to pack up their things and leave. They now live on the streets with their fellow newsies, struggling to support themselves just like every other newsie. Their lives were still pretty crappy and hopeless, but hey, they were still alive and that was what mattered. Then, a new kid shows up at the gates of The World and sends their lives into chaos once more.

Ten years ago in 1889 there was a little girl at the age of 6 running away and her name was Emma. Emma ran away from her abusive parents and she ran into the infamous Jack Kelly. He was the leader of the Manhattan Newsies, he took Emma in with the boys in the lodging house. Emma soon became known as Tiger, the only Manhattan Girlsie. Jack took care of Tiger as if she was his own blood she was pretty much his sister and every Newsie knew this. Tiger used a special technique to sell her papers just like every other Newsie. Tiger was a flirt and known for it, it was how she sold her papes. Yes Tiger was a flirt but she swore to herself that she wouldn't get into a relationship especially with one of the Newsies but Racetrack Higgins her best friend took that as a challenge. They always flirted with each other but Racetrack wanted more, he wanted to be with her. With Tiger. His Tiger.
