Abandoned for their own protection, only to be abused by the one supposed to raise them, Lena and Alex Rose are slowly thrown into an alien war after meeting Emerald, heir to the Decepticon faction. Once confidential information is leaked to the entire world about the organization hunting the sibling's species, the Autobots vow to protect them. At least, protect Lena until they're able to rescue Alex from Decepticon captivity.

As the stars align and Breakdown captures Miko while she's away from the sights of Team Prime, Megatron sees a glorious opportunity to use Shockwave's research to both wage psychological warfare on the Autobots, and to turn Miko into his new loyal weapon. Will the Decepticons finally eclipse the Autobots in this war? Will Team Prime be able to save their human friend turned prehistoric Cybertronian? And does Miko even want to be saved?
