She soon learns that the human Twilight Sparkle has been accused of being Anon-A-miss as well. Principal Celestia then decides to hire Nancy Drew to help Sunset & Twilight clear their names. Can Nancy do it?

Later that night, a cloaked unicorn sneaks into the castle and steals Twilight's crown. The next morning, Princess Celestia identifies the thief as Sunset Shimmer, her former student. The princesses explain that the mirror from which Sunset Shimmer escaped is a gateway to an alternate world and task Twilight with going into this other world to retrieve her crown.
