"I don't like this dream, because the shadows are mean and life isn't fair." A young child yelled out to his crying family behind him and the doctors trying to calm him. Why would they care about the boy who saw shadows looming and watching him, the boy who sliced his arms if the world was too much, the boy who was skinny as a stick because the kids at school said he was fat, the boy who was merely only eight. He figured it out, that they hated him. The boy with ocean blue eyes spilling with the salty sea of pain. The boy named Lance, who in his eyes, only had himself to blame.
Trigger warnings: mental disorders, self-harm, suicidal tendencies and thoughts, substance abuse such as alcohol, tobacco, and pills, this is a mental hospital so basically anything that would land you in one.

Lance knows that he's annoying. He knows that he's a flirt, and that his jokes are always terrible. That's why the kidnapping by the Galra fleet, didn't bother him all that much.
