Voodoo Queens and Whatnot

Jeremy Jarnell's girl broke up with him yesterday. Feeling lost and rejected, he held on to his manuscript for dear life, and thought about contacting the literary agent his editor friend had recommended months ago, the reason he had come to New Orleans in the first place. Once there, he soon met Alila at her bar in the Quarter and lost all track of time. Now that that was history, he needed to pull himself together yet again, and couldn't be in a better place to do it.
