(boyxboy) Sixteen-year-old Alec Carter is your average teenage boy. He is only somewhat popular but is well-liked at Willow Forest High School. He's known for being the star baseball player on the school's team along with his best friend, Bradley Carson. Most importantly, Alec has been dating Briana Cooper for nearly two years now. However, there was something missing in their relationship that Alec couldn't put his finger on. That's when he meets Richard "Ritchie" Pearce, also sixteen, the new boy in town. Ritchie repeatedly avoids the question as to why he moved all the way from Chicago across the States to the small town of Willow Forest. His secret about moving eventually comes back to punch him in the face. After sharing a kiss, the two boys find out something that jeopardizes their budding relationship along with Alec's relationship with his family. Ritchie's "beard" is Sabrina, Alec's twin sister. However, she doesn't know that she's just a "beard" to him.
