	Satisfied with the text, she pressed send, determined to ignore any attempts of contact by the bastard from that moment on. 

	"Tell me everything. I want to know everything." Evelyn demanded. She would know all the details he did - even though it hurt. She would not be pulled back into Lucas' lies again. 

	Her pack's magic began to pool within her room as they felt her distress increase the longer she talked with Bryan. It did little to sooth her shattering world. 

How could Lucas do this to her? How could he text her as if everything was fine as he went out on dates with this girl? How could he sit there across from her at their anniversary dinner (that he was late to) and smile and talk about their future while texting Amanda? How could he call her and tell her that he wished to be hanging out with her on Cinco de Mayo when he possibly did more than just suck face with another woman??

Evelyn's pack, Mountain Peak, has been slowly declining because of factors outside of their control: the recession had hit their small pack hard. Hard enough for them to never be able to get their feet underneath them. The death of the Luna and a steadily declining financial situation tended to keep a pack in the red. 

On top of all her responsibilities as Luna-elect, Evelyn has personal problems to deal with. Her longtime boyfriend, Lucas, has shown his true colors - cheating on her with some she-wolf while he was home at his own pack. Cutting him off cold-turkey, Evelyn struggles to keep her head above water.

This is very emotion driven and definitely more of a character study more than anything else. It also was a therapy for me to understand, identify, and work through my own emotions about a cheating ex. I've been trying to work through to make it a complete first draft with little plot holes - but it is a first draft.
