"What do you want?" I snap, slamming my locker shut. His casual smirk, messy dark hair, tan skin, strong arms, eerie storm-grey eyes... the list could go on of things I notice- that I shouldn't notice- about him. "Oh, I want a lot of things." He inspects a speck of dirt on his arm. "I'm sure you've heard the news?" His eyes flicker back up to meet mine. Does he know? No. He can't. So I roll my eyes. He can't know that I know, that I would do anything to be the first one he tells. "You'll have to be more specific." I mutter, trying to look casual as I inspect my nails. "Well, it involves a certain title of the swim team," He offers. I shrug. "So you got captain. That's cool. And what do I have to do with that?" He narrows his eyes, trying to read my expression. Unfortunately for him, I have mastered the art of hiding my emotions. "This is what I wanted to talk to you about. During English," He fiddles with his sweater sleeve. "I recall you trying to talk to me," I frown. "Well, I..." He swallows, seeming... nervous? "I'm not doing too great... subject wise. And if I don't pick up my ass soon, I might be forced to quit." He rubbed the back of his neck, making his shirtsleeve slide up his arm to reveal a strong bicep. Not that I notice. I narrow my eyes. "And what do I get back in return?" I cross my arms. I'm going to be late for the bus if we don't hurry. He studies my face. "Name your price." He mirrored my position. I sigh. Money... but I don't need it. Popularity... but I don't want it. I meet his gaze steadily. He lifts his chin, the tiniest bit, but it doesn't intimidate me. I square my shoulders and stand up straight. He's only just taller than me. The Sirens Calling
I'm writing a book about sirens and merpeople (yes, different things) and want opinions as I go along with the story and some support so I can continue writing! Sophia is part of the crew on the Major after hearing rumours the captain decided she has to die But as she was drowning she found a new power within her an turns into a siren Follow Sophia and her, later found, best friend Lucy on their adventures while discovering more and more of Sophia's powers. And I smell a romance between the friends blossoming And I have already written their get together scene so that is a promise I intend to keep ;) It's gonna be rated Mature when I post that scene, but until then it's off And that scene doesn't really hold any plot so you can skip it (I'll put a warning before and tell you when it's over though)

I am Mariah Langsten, I go by May or Mariah. My friends, or the ones left would call me Mariah Carrie because how I could sing. I never heard it like they did. I am with two other survivors, My best friend Beth Greene, once the shit hit the fan I had no chance to find her. But once I finally got to their house. They were all gone, the barn was burnt to nothing, few walkers lurking and something that looked like their house. She told me a hoard got them and she told me about her group and what happened. It nearly killed me when she told me what happened to Hershel. He was like my second dad when we were kids. We cried for a while in each other arms. Then the other survivor was a guy I found on my way to Hershel's, which was over a 4 or 5 months ago. I lost count, besides his name is Andrew Winder. Him and Beth became a thing, but we decided not to tell her we've had sex more than a couple times. It was for comforting purposes, but we both knew deep down. It was defiantly for the hell of it, we haven't had any one sexually for a long time. I was 23, blonde hair and brown eyes, Beth was 21, blonde with blue eyes. She was so damn pretty. Andy (As I called him) was 25, brown hair and blue eyes. I had zero training before all this started, all I did was play video games, eat food and cuss at online players when they pissed me off. I didn't have much of a life. Never really had a good boyfriend, not even a decent. They all wanted me for my "perfect" boobs. Which I thought was bull shit because its just a piece of fat attached to my chest, ugh. I dropped out. I sucked in everything I was a horrible person, I was a waste of oxygen on this earth. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there. "I nearly drowned last week, you know that? Now you show up as if nothing happened." "Last week," Cass said slowly, "I was in Argentina." Whatever he'd seen, it wasn't her.Concluída

Start: 11 May 2018 Finish: 6 December 2018 I see the drop of the cliff in the corner of my eye. I take an unsteady step backwards. "There is no running from here."
