Clamours and hoarse shouts ring throughout the palace walls. An arrow pins the Queen of Kephal to the ground. Her lifeblood maps her every mistake on the dusty sandstone. Glass shatters, crystalline flecks refract tiny rainbows skywards, metal crumples against brick. Onlookers scream as the sirens ring. She never saw it coming. Two seemingly unrelated events that would change the course of history. Allison, a twenty-something ditz with a sweet tooth gets stuck in the body of an ancient queen. Hated by her people, ostracized from the court and forgotten by the emperor. One wrong step could mean her death as she navigates court politics, flouts assassination attempts and tries to figure out what the hell is going on. Will she become a just, caring queen in a personality flip that gives the locals whiplash? Or will she instead focus on the more important questions: can I bake a cake in an ancient oven? Is coffee a thing around here? Is it too hot for a fluffy blanket? Alternatively girl panics when she realises an ancient civilisation doesn't have chocolate and nearly gets executed. She's not sure what is worse.

Book 2 of Never Again "Can I have some?" He says he's trying to snag a piece of my pie. I hit his hand and looked at him as if he was insane. "You can't, I'm afraid. You should do what I did. Get the bloody hell out of my face and go ask Mrs. Tina for something" I say. I don't care if he appears to be offended. He better get his fatass out my face before I have to shove my foot up his ass for trying to steal my food. I don't play about my food. "But I want that" he says pointing at the thing in my hand. "I don't care, go get your own" I say pointing my fork at him. "If I can't get a piece, you won't have any." I look at him with wide eyes when he says this. I instantly get up, "Wait a minute. This is something we can discuss." It's pointless since he's chasing me around the couch. I leaped on the couch, causing him to jump on the opposite side. "It's mine, Ha-Alessandro. Why can't you acquire one of your own?" When he gets closer, I say and jump to the ottoman. "Because you make that one seems good," he continues, his gaze fixed on me. Are we still talking about the food? I don't know "You're a grown ass Mafia man chasing me down for a damn pie," I say as I leap onto the table. I'm hoping this crap is strong. Thalia only had one thing in mind and that was to escape one way or another. Life keeps throwing things at her, quite literally. She keeps handling everything while trying to keep a strong font. Although its starting to get hard with the betrayal she's facing, the lies, lust, and confusion all at once. Just like before, some things are not as they seem.
