As a kid you watched as Frisk brought monsters from the underworld into the world you live in. Starting out as a kid you like monsters and Frisk is like a hero for you. As an adult you'll still love monsters and grow closer to Frisk as well as her Partner Chara.
Frisk starts off with a huge Childhood crush on you but it way too scared to admit it because it might get Toriel or the other monsters mad if you turn her down. Chara also has these feelings for you but she takes them in a more violent turn so she's obsessive and very protective of you to the point she won't let frisk near you.
