The night was dark and cold, just like the man in front of me. His brown eyes are piercing through my soul but i didn't lessen my guard.

Marcus Augustin Demelza, why are you so cruel?

Even your voice sounds frigid and intimidating, that even a word sends shivers to my spine.

"And I told you I can't help it! Why can't you love me back Marcus? Why!? Dahil ba kay Rain? Putangina lagi nalang si Rain, di ba pwedeng ako naman?"

His words pierced through my heart. Damn.

I watched him walked away, leaving me with the pieces of my heart that he broke. I slowly closed my eyes as tears streamed down my face.

Who am I to blame? Im just his bestfriend. Im just the bestfriend. And I know I will never be more than that.
