Catherine hasn't spoken to anyone about the nightmares she's been having for over twenty years; but she suspects they may be related to the thirteen hours she went missing in the woods behind her house when she was seven- thirteen hours she has no memory of. The sudden reappearance of the violent nightmares after her twenty-seventh birthday bring her to the office of psychiatrist Jean Pascal. Catherine brings her desperate plight to Dr. Pascal, hoping to bring an end to the nightmares before they put an end to her. She has to outrun the wolves.
(So, this was supposed to be an entry in the #NancyDrew writing contest; but I, like a fool, misread the instructions. I thought it had to be 2,000 words. Turns out, it had to be 2,000 characters. Yeesh. I'll still try and edit it down to meet the requirements, but since I have the words anyway, I might as well use them! Obviously, this is part of a larger story; I'll post more as I write it.
