Laura and Mason are just two kids fighting together, side-by-side.  At just eight years old, the pact they made interwoven with magic solidified their promise - they'd never hurt each other for as long as they lived.  Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances pull them apart, and their next pact is not so friendly - they're mortal enemies forever.  The idea seems good at the time until the two are thrown together once more for a new adventure.  With an unexpected reunion and a resentment still boiling in both, they need to figure out the almost-adult-way to handle both their friendship and the dark circumstances looming above them.

Switching between the past and the present, we follow the story of two young adults attempting to fight evil - and each other.  Mysterious books, weird mailmen, and a full-out prank war ensue while the two magicians try to find their place in the world...and themselves.
