The Journalist, The General, and The Pirate
Decades. He'd wasted decades of his life doing what? Chasing the minuscule sparks of passion to ease the aching void in his chest? Wasn't there something better? {BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong? Bella head towards where they're going, carefully stepping along the craggy rocks. When suddenly, one of the rock she step into knocks her off balance. She trip on a rocky out crop and stumble toward the ground, when someone steps in to catch her. "Whoa." Says the guy who catch her Bella reached out her arm going around his neck as he folds her safely into his arms. When she opens her eyes and turns up to look at who catches her. Ezra's face comes into view. So close to her face. Her arms are still around Ezra's neck. She abruptly take her hands off him and put a space between them, she stands up straight.. "Thank you." She utters to Ezra in a whisper. She looks ahead to see if their friends saw what just happened between her and Ezra. To her relief they're continuing the trek. They're oblivious of what just happened. Which is a good thing for her, because She hates to be teased. Her thoughts is interrupted by what Ezra said "Trust me, the pleasure is all mine.
