Thorin Oakenshield holds a reasonable hatred towards dragons. It's no surprise, nor can anyone argue with it. He hopes never to see a dragon again. And if he does, he'll kill it.
But then he meets Adelonne, a dragonling-she can change form at will from a human-like creature (a mix of dwarf, men, elves, and hobbits) to a dragon. Of the original fifty dragon breeds, thirteen remain. She is of the Fireflukes. She intrigues Thorin in a way he finds confusing.
When an object of great importance and even more danger is believed to be inside the mountain, Thorin and the dwarves are desperate for help. With the help of Adelonne and her kinsmen, the threat is averted-while, of course, revealing yet another.
*COMPLETELY IGNORING THE END OF THE HOBBIT BECAUSE THORIN IS PRECIOUSSSSSS (hehe, not sorry) AND I NEED THIS*
