There is someone new in charge of the GCPD while Barbra deals with some "family emergencies", but her arrival, along with her twisted, wicked ideas will change it all for Batman and Joker. The new commissioned has the plan to use her machine to wipe all the criminals emotions so they never cause any type of problem again and, for some unknown reason, the government agrees. Now, Batman will have to break the new laws in order to help the clown recover his emotions and, maybe, develop some of his own.

Then, just when Bruce finally gets his life back on track with the help of former Catwoman Selina Kyle, he is forced to face an old and deadly foe Bane when he kidnaps Dick's wife and former Batgirl Barbara Gordon and their baby daughter Jane Marie. Armed with an armored Batsuit he created in case Superman ever went rogue called The Hellbat, Bruce Wayne goes into battle one last time as Batman to try to save those he cares about. AUTHOR'S NOTE: Given all the hoopla surrounding the movie Batman v. Superman, I wanted to write my own Batman and/or Superman story. After coming up with different scenarios for my story, including my own version of Batman v. Superman (which I still might write later on), I finally decided on this one (for now at least). I wanted to go beyond the controversial The Killing Joke-where The Joker shoots and paralyzes Barbara Gordon a.k.a. Batgirl-and Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns that show a blatantly darker side of BM. Of course, it will be up to the individual reader if I succeeded or not.

Hello! This story is based on a two shot I did that I decided to make into a full story! This is my first full story for batjokes! About: joker and Harley go out to steal some jewelry when joker finds a beautiful blue diamond! It reminds him of his batsy so when Batman comes to fight like normal, joker just gives him the diamond. Batman is very confused by this and when he sees joker again, he starts to question his feelings for the clown. When he realizes these feelings, he is conflicted with his feelings towards joker and his job. Drama between the criminal and hero, as they both try to make a relationship work. (It's mostly just Lego batjokes, anyways I hope you enjoy!) This makes poor Bats second guess himself, and he too struggles with his own feelings. _______ This is extremely Bruce and Joker centric, I don't think Selina even has dialogue- so yeah, just a heads up. ________ For anyone who's been reading as it updates, I upgraded the summary to better suit the plot, it's not drastically diffetent, but is no longer the same as what I wrote 3 yrs ago.
