She stopped eating and looked at him wide-eyed. "What?" She started coughing. "Sorry." He passed her a tumbler of water and she gulped it down swiftly, her hands shaking as she dropped the cup on the table and looked up at him completely out of words.
He smiled and sat back on his chair. "Yes Maryam, I have loved you for a long time, but I didn't realize it until now, and holding it is not something I can do anymore."
"I...I...ya Muhammad..." she started but he cut her off, "you don't have to answer right now, just think about it. I don't want to force anything on you, I'll accept whatever decision you make." He smiled and went back to eating.
