"You hate me?" He asked, sliding closer. I shivered, not being able to process anything that was going on. I looked around to see if anyone was watching us, but it was already to dark outside to see anything but my oen reflection in the window. My heart beat faster in my chest as my grip tightened on the edge of the bus seat.
"Y-yeah." I said, stumbling over the words. I silently cursed the gods for the darkness. The bus jolted, throwing my body closer to his. I kept reminding myself the same thing over and over again as my heart thumped faster and faster in my chest: We were just friends.
