Without a warning, she was brought here; The School for Gods and Goddesses to learn about humans. She was quite bothered. She didn't like the idea of "humans" for some reason she can't tell. For her, she led a perfect life with everything that took part in it was perfect. Atleast thats what she remembers. Many forget that the goddess of love was born from the raging sea, but she would do anything to protect her daughter. Adora was Aphrodite's last daughter. Her mother kept her hidden. But, her mother isn't the only one who can keep a secret, especially in a world where your role in society is everything. For there was a prophecy long before she was born: 'Aphrodite's last child would be the one to take the throne, Her paternity unknown. They would carve her face and never forget, for she would be the most beautiful that they had met Cursed for the same fate as her mother Forced to leave her love for another The only way she shall break this curse is if she defeats the first' "Looks like the princess doesn't need saving after all." He says, quietly enough that no one else would hear, as he draws his hand away from my arm. I glare back at him. "Maybe she never did," I walk away, not sparing a single glance back, no matter how much my body was begging me to. I fuss over my hair, pouting as I run my fingers through it to put it back into place. *A warning note* I am not an expert on Greek Mythology, but it interests me greatly. Please excuse any inaccuracies in the book, but if there are any please do message or comment it and I will see if I can change it without making such a huge difference to the plot. Also, my main character is autistic and the experience will be different for everyone. I have tried my hardest to put down on paper how I feel and how I believe others see me. So, please be respectful about the decisions my characters make as I have chosen to give them many different types of neurodivergent brains. I have tried my best to represent these in the most accurate light whilst not romanticising them.

❝in which two misfits from different worlds altogether find just how ethereal each other's company can be.❞ Hecate, goddess of witchcraft and a prominent figure in Greek mythology, is in simple words: fed up. Fed up of being trapped in the pits of hell without cause, fed up of the monotony that her life has adapted to, fed up of herself. Fed up of the 'duty' she is bound to, and the shackles of destiny that never seem to leave her alone, even when she has spent her whole life running. Loki Laufeyson, god of mischief, wants something new. Wants to escape his brother Thor's shadow, find a piece of solace that has been missing his whole life, and wants somebody to understand. Wants to be viewed as something more than the last resort, the spare prince of Asgard. Wants somebody to maybe want him, for who he is, as a person and not the son of Odin. Neither of Laufey. Just him. Just Loki. And yet, we don't always get what we want, do we? Of course, both of them are from completely different universes. Greek and Norse, ones with very little similarities between them. But what if, somehow, somewhere, their existence collided? What if the destiny that Hecate has longed to escape and the title Loki thinks of as a burden is what brings them together? What makes them ethereal? "She's right! She's right! I don't cut in the right spot." My hold tightens on my wrist. The red blood oozes out of my wrist. I slide up and grab my bag and run out of the bathroom. I don't care if people can see the blood I just want to get out. I race for the doors and shove through people. I earn a lot of glares and glances that read "weirdo." I ignore and push. I run to my house and lock myself in my bathroom. I don't bother closing the front door cause I don't care if people come in to kill me. I grab my razor and cut deep cuts into my arm and wrists falling into a pool of my own blood. • • • Evangeline has a great life. Friends? Check! Good grades? Check! Loving family? Check! Don't say I didn't warn you. Okay, I wrote this at the start of this year (may 2016) and I had very poor writing skills. This book hasn't been edited and the whole idea is cliche so I wouldn't recommend you read it but I'm not stopping you, either. Read at your own risk. • • • Copyright © 2017 by -moonlust. "Mother!" I called out, hoping for an answer. The screams of my people filled my ears. I felt tears go down my face as I begged for her answer. "Calliope! Big sister!" I cried, racing to the temple where I last saw them. Suddenly, I heard the chains of my father's weapon rattle. "Father!" I screamed, racing to the entrance of the temple and my eyes widened as I saw the horrific sight: bodies of the monks I used to play around with were slain and I saw as the hand of my mother's fall onto the stone ground. My big sister's limply looking leg was barely visible from the entrance. My eyes widened as I realized what had happened. I stared as the culprit began to mourn them and I glanced at my father's weapon, soaked in the blood of his victims. I was in shock, unable to speak, afraid that my father may kill me just like he did Mother and Calliope. I slowly backed away and threw down the necklace that father had crafted for me for that was no longer my father but a merciless murderer with a cold heart. Kratos. ******************************* My name is Adoni of Sparta, daughter of the Spartan General Kratos and the beautiful and strong Lyssandra. I had a sister named Calliope but... They're gone. My father killed them, traumatizing his other daughter as she ran away from the scene, afraid of her father, afraid that he may kill her in cold blood. Luckily, I was saved by the gods and goddess of my home, who have molded me into a strong, beautiful, fearless, intelligent and talented warrior woman. One who is perfect to take revenge on her father. Strong enough to kill him if needed but intelligent enough to get the answer to the question I desired to ask him: "Why did he kill our family?" #1 Ranking in #Sparta
