Not Really Yours

Mary Gilders profile hung low. No one really knew she existed, she never had done anything special in her group- who called themselves the Thirteen. It was her, and 12 other guys. She happened to be the only girl. The last one was her sister, Janette, whom Mary had originally joined with.

Until Jan was sent to the hospital, which was the last thing Jan had seen. Now Mary was left alone. Alone to face becoming an important One.

3 weeks after Jan's death, Mary meets a man about 5 years older than her. He seems super nice, at first, but she knows he's rich. The whole gang and her had planned to hustle him into giving her access to his life savings. She couldn't give a damn if he lived or died, not after she found out his true self. He was apparently one of the leading criminals in all of Chicago. She wanted to be higher than he was, she wanted to be important. And she knew just how to pull it off.
