Since the world ended, Kari Evans has been living with the Greene family. They took her in when she lost her parents at a young age and now she considers them her family. The life of Kari turns completely upside down when Rick Grimes comes running across their field, begging Hershel to save his son Carl who has just suffered a gunshot wound.  In the time they spend together, Kari, her family and Rick's group grow closer. Facing a threat within, Kari quickly learns exactly what it means to live in this world and how to go about it.
