Then the scientist had to mess with the unnatural giving us humans to evolve even further thus a plague had broke out making these machines/clones protect and serve us.  
In comes the daughter whose father had created a perfect machine for her, a perfect companion, a perfect protector.  But nothing is ever perfect and nothing will be the same.
