Autonomopocolypse

Driving is illegal, governments around the world deemed it safer that vehicles on the road should only be autonomous. It became a full autonomous take over. Even international motorsports booted drivers for autonomous race cars. Passionate enthusiasts never gave up and continued driving the cars they love to drive. Overtime they built up groups with their peers and raced other groups of people whilst avoiding police. Eventually a few innovative people started the Showdown, where each of the group's called guilds compete as a team. Showdowns are regional and then guilds can work their way up to the international showdown. It's a dangerous world for these racers though.
