True story. My true story.

I'm still a high-schooler, and it may seem ridiculous for me to write a love story. But this isn't a regular romance, it's a story of platonic love. This is about a genius little girl and a boy who yearned to prove his intelligence. Throughout elementary school, every other subject would be drowned out beneath the rustle of sticky notes covered in numbers. I taught, he learned. All the way up to calculus.

His eyes were so sparkly, such ambition. I was a poison to him, and he was an anchor that kept me grounded in a small town. So I cut him off, cold turkey.

I never told him I'm sorry, so accept this story as my apology if you ever see it, Asher. I made a choice to leave you behind in a small town, and now I'm at the number one high school in the country. But it feels wrong; you should be here with me. Now, numbers hurt. Some couples have a song, or a movie. We had math.

Note: chapters will be a bit out of order for a bit, sorry about that
