Her district companion is a 13-year-old boy with no strengths whatsoever. District 5, which is basically used for power-plants, is no place for training for the Games. Her and the boy from her district are being overlooked. Between all of these problems is Amber, a 16-year-old girl from District 5 of Panem. With little training for the Games compared to the other tributes, winning will be difficult. Victory is low in chances, and for Amber, it seems like she will never get there. Despite her problems that could very well be fatal, she fights hard. But will a little inexperienced girl win against advanced fighters who have been training their whole lives? Nothing is for sure...

Many citizens of District 4 couldn't imagine a reality where I didn't win the 76th Games. But, that was almost the case. I almost had my life cut short, left behind in the history of the Games like so many others. Like Aurora, who is all but forgotten by everyone who cared about her. It's been 50 years since I entered the Arena, and I will never, ever forget it. [Prequel spinoff to Hunger Games: Bleeding Hearts]
