In 2020, large advancements in technology have been made- people's lives are made easier, and it seems that nearly all the problems of the world have been solved. However, science turned to genetic engineering a while ago, taking test subjects and modifying their DNA and genes to test the limits of the human form, how much they can withstand, and most importantly- how much power they could awaken.

Suddenly, a worldwide announcement is made-- they're running out of volunteers, and requests that any high schooler who wishes to "become something more beautiful" donate their body to become a test subject. It seems nothing changes after this, and everyday life goes on as normal...

...except in Roseacre, Indiana. Oddly enough, nearly every high school is volunteering subjects to the town's local scientific facility. Roseacre Academy is the only school that refuses to send test subjects, and for some reason, they become the target of all the other rival high schools.

The story follows Gail Pennington and Lucille Hertz as they try to protect their school along with its students and faculty from "awakened" students from the other schools, ones who have already undergone testing and survived. The ugly truth behind the testing is gradually revealed as they try to defend themselves. Will they be able to protect their school, themselves, and their futures?

About 20 years ago, a disease swept through decimating the majority of the worldwide population with type-O blood, both negative and positive. Very few were spared the debilitating and fast killing disease, and the ones who did survive were sought after for their unique blood and antibodies to the disease all in the name of science. Doctors around the world scrambled to figure out the disease, but one Stephen Mitchell was an intern at the local hospital at the onset of the outbreak and was a part of the discovery and eventually the cure. It seemed his life would be then filled with interviews in magazines and on tv, and great fame... but someone else collected on that. So, instead of becoming famous, Mitchell became a high school teacher and assistant department chair to Harry Kristiansen, the science department chair, at a boarding school for overly privileged kids. Jobs given to them seemingly out of nowhere. Things seem normal, the day-to-day boring with students coming in and out of the classrooms. But their blackmailer is interested in saving his lover, not normality. In order to save her, they need to find the very thing that has eluded medicine for close to 20 years, finding people with type-O blood to harvest. The very thing that should be easy, is proving difficult for Harry and Mitchell until the addition of a third partner. This partner seems to be a Godsend, able to find participants to appease their blackmailer, until he is no more. Fearful of their lives and for their families, the two men try to figure a way out. One wants to tell and be over with it, the other wants to use a different tactic. Yet telling the truth will cause more people to die. However, not telling the truth causes more people to die. Can Harry and Mitchell make it out with their sanity and their lives?

7 Criminals around Russia, Korea, and Japan were all sent to a certain jail in America, "The Unwanted", for having unique diseases that have never been heard of before. Instead of being sent to death, each day they're experimented on by the doctors of the prison. This is to find the demanding cure of the diseases that everyone has been wanting, more specifically the News and social media, to know. An example of the experiments would be the doctors injecting different "vaccines" into the sickened's skin, to see if it helps them or defects them. They get the results back once they draw blood from the tested, diseased subject. They're trapped in cells most of the day after their testing, meaning they're rarely ever out of the cells after being "experimented" on. If they were to disobey this law, then they would be sent to the electric chair. They wouldn't send enough bolts to their heads to kill them though, they just severely damage their health and the way they mentally function. Unfortunately, their memories were whipped out, by the nurses, to the extent of their crimes and people they knew before prison. This leaves the diseased to try and find out why they're there and who they knew before this. Of course, the Nurses don't want this because after the sickened kids committed their crimes, they wanted to commit suicide for an unknown reason. They, the doctors and police, need them alive to find the cure and reason for their diseases to avoid them from spreading or occurring again. Will they be cured or is this thing a whole scheme just to torture some murderers? Who will die or eventually snap? Will the criminals ever find out who they truly were or who they knew? Read to find out.
