In an alternate universe, where coal is the dominant form of energy, and the world runs on steam power, war strikes. The Germans have invaded Belgium, and everyone is rushing to declare their allegiances in what looks to be the biggest war the human race has ever seen.
Now, it's up to a handful of gifted individuals to write their own destinies and determine the outcome of The Great War, a conflict the likes of which have never been witnessed before.
September Harriott, a disgraced ex-military Englishman with a vengeful streak, wields the power of telekinesis, along with a few elemental gifts.
Adaline Hans, a necromancer with a short temper, ruthlessly kills anyone who comes across her.
Fritz Schrodinger, a German alchemist caught in the middle of the war.
Dawn Faulkner, a shop owner with a few of her own unique talents. Dameon Halberd, a mysterious foreigner with no allegiances.

Gate of Dimensions
In 1940, two years after a brutal civil war that resulted in the return of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the revived German Empire emerged as the dominant military, economic, and technological power in most of Europe. The Central Powers had been reformed, and significant technological advancements had been made that would forever change the world. However, just as a second world war was on the horizon, an enormous magical gate opened in Berlin. From this gate poured an army of armor-clad warriors and mythical monsters from another dimension, led by a man who proclaimed the creation of the "New Arthurian Province." Although the attack was successfully repelled, the gateway - dubbed the "Gate of Dimensions" - remained in Berlin. Fearing further assaults, the Kaiser mobilized a massive army composed of tanks, infantry, armored dogs, and supersoldiers to explore the other side of the gateway. What they discovered was a world filled with magic, abundant natural resources, and otherworldly forces.

Due to Y/N's service history, he was allowed into the vault during the nuclear warhead exchange between America and China, and that's where our story starts.
