Marcus High School is probably the best place in the world to get your high school diploma. Students make lasting bonds, receive a pristine education - not to mention top-notch help when they need it - and most pupils move on to the best colleges in America. Marcus High is not known only for its brilliant education, but also its advanced security system; attempted break-ins have always failed. All in all, students that attend the school are very lucky indeed. Well, most are. Irene Parker’s first year of high school was nothing like its reputation implied. Lasting bonds? Nope. Pristine education? Never. And a chance to go to a top college? Forget it. And when things are finally beginning to look up…fate takes an unexpected turn for the worse. She dies. Marcus High’s famous security system fails for the very first time, and in afterlife, she decides that revenge truly is sweet. But what are you supposed to do when your secret, ghostly journey for revenge is interrupted by an old friend who refuses to let you go on?
