"It's YOU that scares me." Andy spoke with authority but his eyebrows conveyed confusion, he wasn't accustom to being antagonized, "You've been staying out way past curfew, hiding away in your room and barely eating. I thought you were snacking in your room but all of your snacks are right where I placed them since two weeks ago."

Alyx wiped at her tears ferociously, she was getting angry with herself and taking it out on her dad. She didn't want to but...this was all new.

And Alyx hated change.

"Dad please, leave me alone." She whispered softly, she couldn't shout any more. She didn't want to be alone but what could her father sheltering her do for her? Nothing. It's too late. Then she felt familiar strong hands wrap around her and smelt his aftershave.

They stood like that for a while. Alyx liked it, and Andy who felt his little girl in his arms for the first time in forever liked it too.
