The game was released to critical acclaim and is regarded as one of the best video games ever released for the Playstation 3 system. This book was written for two reasons. First, to tell The Last of Us' incredible story to those who do not play video games. The video game industry has recently emerged as a new storytelling platform that employs some of the best writers in the industry, and the results show. If video games are not your thing, please enjoy the story of The Last of Us in novel form. Second, to have the fans of The Last of Us video game relive the experience in a different fashion. This is not fanfiction, but a retelling of its original story. Minor details have been changed and certain sections were omitted to make the story feel more like a novel rather than a literary playthrough.
