In a world where a werewolf is an insult and those that help them are misunderstood; there are few that can understand. They can recognize the difference between anger and frustration. Between happiness and lust. They are the souls that speak to such a flexible and misunderstood creature. Remus was lucky, he could count on his hands how many people he trusted. Most werewolves don't even have a single person to turn to.

However, life could be so different at this time. He was returned with a start by someone he wasn't expecting to see. There he was, standing in a familiar setting with some of those he trusted and a few he wouldn't have dared to. Why? Now, the statement Sirius loved was something of commonplace. "It's a werewolf thing, Moony."

What happens when the one person to wrangle a new pack didn't want to do so at all? A natural alpha needs a witch with a wolf drive to help with the chaos. However, what if she wants to take no part. Is it really just a werewolf thing or something more?

There June meets a rather large stray dog, she befriends that kind dog, then leaves for the train back to school. On the train, June, James, Lizzie, and Megan sat in a compartment chatting as normal. After the friends exchange a few words the compartment door slides open the tiniest of bits. A boy with brown hair and shocking blue eyes asked if he and his sister could sit with them. June agrees and they enter the compartment. They introduced themselves as Justin and Thea, twins, and both Ravenclaws. June's hopes of an uneventful year die after the train ride leads to Dementors searching the train for an escaped murderous prisoner. Shortly after arriving at school, the students learn that the soul-sucking creatures from the train had been placed outside and around the school's perimeters in case the escapee tries to enter the school grounds. Soon June learns of her Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Remus Lupin is a werewolf. And that he knew both her parents. Later the young girl learns that the friendly shaggy-haired dog is the escaped prisoner? And that he was Harry's godfather? All that's certain is that this school year will not be uneventful. No year at Hogwarts is, especially with famous Harry Potter there.
