So, this story is essentially a retelling of Anderson's little Mermaid, (With brief references to the movie). I have attempted to replicate his writing style to some degree and certain portions of the story follow his exact paragraph structure. However, I have written it to that the little mermaid falls in love with a female princess. I have also embellished it a bit to give it more of a theme than "Die for the people you love". It has ended up being much longer than the original but I am proud of it's similarities and of its differences.All Rights Reserved
