Lincoln Loud y Syd Chang intentan llegar a un lugar seguro, luego de que hace 2 semanas fueran privados de la libertad en Royal Woods durante una cita romatica. Solo recuerdan el sonido de un motor de camioneta desplazándose, 8 días maniatados, vendados de los ojos y recibiendo porciones de comida como galletas y sándwiches, días que parecían siglos, esa mañana, sintieron estar en una batalla, por los gritos de los captores, habían caído en una trampa, sintieron como eran trasladados a nuevos vehículos, sentirian el olor a polvora y un olor fetido que no habian presentido nunca, era el olor de la sangre?, estar vendados fue una ventaja para evitar ver una escena sacada de la ficcion, el sonido de ametralladoras los ensordecio temporalmente, ese sonido de películas de acción era ahora un sonido que ninguno quisiera volver a oír. Hace tan solo unas horas la joven pareja habría logrado escapar de una especie de prisión enorme, Lincoln, usando su español aprendido de Ronnie Anne recuerda oír a los verdugos llamarla " la escuelita" no sabia el por que de ese nombre, pero no lo quería averiguar, suficiente tenia con haber caminado mucho, recorrer un pueblo fantasma lejos de su país y al mismo tiempo protegiendo a su novia.
