Long before he was Auditore, Alex went by a surname in NJPW called Young Blood. He is an affiliated member of Bullet Club, led by the IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega.

Triple H has taken over WWE, and the new CEO has reached out to other independent wrestling promotions such as EVOLVE and PROGRESS. His new business plan is to expand their Asian audience by reaching out to the women's wrestling promotion STARDOM and other top Japanese wrestling promotions who agreed with a deal with WWE, similar of NJPW's deal with Japanese legend Jushin "Thunder" Liger. Triple H has allowed the WWE Superstars to compete in the Japanese promotions as part of their deal. The WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross along with their friends Toni Storm, Kairi Sane, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor and Randy Orton traveled to Japan to be in action for the Japanese audience, and while at the Land of the Rising Sun, someone catches the Goddess' attention.

Since turning heel, Io Shirai has dominated the NXT women's division and looking for a shot at Shayna Baszler's NXT Women's title. She had embraced her dark character, but fans were all in and still supported even in the words of the Genius of the Sky, "didn't need any of them."
