Abel is a tired highschool student with a demanding and degrading girlfriend. With the help of two very important people in his life, he begins to understand his value and gains more respect for himself. This is a short story I wrote for one of my classes. The idea that inspired me to write this story is the lack of awarness and help that men recieve in abusive relationships get, specifically focusing on my culture and what I've seen. Enjoy! (I wrote this on a time limit, please let me know of any mistakes)

I can't say the signs wasn't there, but his love made me blind and the people around me were lying. I was only a freshman in college with no parents to tell me they were proud of me. But unlike most stories, this one doesn't start from the beginning. Cooper Madden always knew that he would become the most successful man in his family. Every man feared him and every women desired someone like him. But there was only one woman Cooper ever loved. That was Freya Gadsdon, his partner since college, is anything but a fairy tale. Everyone sees him as the cold-hearted man that he is, and Cooper couldn't care less about the media as long as he keeps Freya under his hold. Freya Gadsdon was a smart girl, always has been, but somehow she ended up with the devil himself. Nobody knew why she stayed under his hellish hold. She was beautiful inside and out, but her heart only craved the very thing that broke her. Some things is worth fighting for, but nobody told her the hell it will bring and the people it will kill.
