Eleven Lives Two Hearts

I was oblivious to the fact that there were other inhabited portions of the planet. However, the entire island felt the same way.
At least, that is what I thought.
Every government had its issues; but ours seemed flawless. We thought we were living in the greatest utopia that could exist. But when the Selection came around each year, we weren't as sure.
Eleven teens would disappear to who-knows-where- and it wasn't until we were among those eleven teens that we realized how much danger our island was in.
Suspicion was already growing, but when Ethan showed up, it only egged it on. It didn't help that I fell in love with the boy that was putting my own life in danger without knowing it.
