22 year-old Gwendolyn Lockhart is anything but ordinary. Living in the heart of London, she's almost close to royalty; her family was infamous for being extremely rich, some would say only preceded by the royal family. Living in a posh, upscale apartment with her high-class boyfriend, Samuel Buckingham (no pun intended), life couldn't be better for her, yet, she'd always have this part of her just yearning to be wild, to live on the edge, to lose her virginity and ditch her perfect lifestyle. She lets that part go, for now, and continues with her privileged life -- that is, until a twisted turn of fate leads her to Matthew, or, Matty, as they say.

Matty is 25, rugged, and anything but clean-cut. He seems to fall for Gwendolyn the minute he sees her, and vice versa for her. Once she finds him, she's willing to do anything to escape Samuel and her life of fame and riches. She gets the perfect excuse, and leaves, running away with Matty and changing her life in ways unimagined. Will her fate be in her and Matty's favour? Or will the odds be against them, leading Gwendolyn to find out who she really is?
