Elizabeth Gilbert went in search of something missing in her life. I'm not her...obviously. My search is about my purpose and why so much tragedy has encircled my life. Why the choices I made many years ago resulted in two children who find themselves in turmoil. A daughter so low in self esteem she continues with cosmetic surgery and living an incredibly materialistic life. My son so devoid of a father's love and wounded by his callous rejection, he chose an uncertain road filled with anger and violence, often involved in petty crime. This is a chronicle of the journey of pain, from living with the shame of being a victim of child to parent violence. The denial and coming to terms with and trying to understand a very complex situation. The struggles are not only emotional and financial, but involve having to navigate a life full of government agencies and fighting accusations in court from a corrupt former husband. Unchartered waters... I'd never heard of the acronym YOT. When someone mentioned a yacht prior to this, I always had images of a luxury boat and past trips we had taken with wonderful memories.
