This is absolutely crazy - this is beyond my own comfort zone.

"You've got this ok? I drove all the way here just for you," He sent me a pointed look, "Don't make me push you."

I swallowed the lump in my throat and took in a big puff of air, "We should just go. I was supposed to meet Connor after school, and if he finds out I ditched him for you, he'd flip."

The stubborn boy in front of me rolled his eyes. He shook his head, probably fed up with waiting and said, "Forget about your stupid boyfriend, and jump off the damn cliff."

When the name Jacob Reynolds is said outloud, mixed emotions come to mind. His older brother left a legacy at Hartwell High, leaving him to continue on the popular reputation of the Reynolds name. Some girls want him by their side, others are too afraid to even speak to him, due to the ridiculous conspiracy theories revolving around him and his two other friends.

You could say that Jacob Reynolds followed in the footsteps of his brother - being the talk of the school, one of the most known kids at Hartwell, having the ladies fall to his feet. But when it came to the subject of actually having a lady - one girl comes to his mind that he just can't have.

When the name Lennox Scott is said outloud, she's known for one thing - being the girlfriend of the captain of the soccer team. That's really all she's known for, aside from probably being the most sweetest yet quietest girl in her class. Everyone would say that she lives the perfect life - no one had the heart to hate her and she had no reason to complain about anything.

But behind closed doors, she has every right to complain about how her life is - although no one really knows that, due to the fact that she's so good at covering things up.

"No one knows for certain how much impact they have on the lives of other people. Oftentimes, we have no clue. Yet we push it just the same." - Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

Nolan Lennox had things figured out. Named after a baseball legend, she enjoyed being the Tomboy, her closet filled with her brother's hand-me-downs, cut-off jeans and soccer shorts. But when her first trip to high school results in a broken heart from the first boy to ever make her heart flutter and cruel words from an older girl she once thought a family friend, Nolan starts to question the very person she thought she was and wonders if her humble upbringing can compete with the afforded luxuries of her privileged peers. Throughout the next four years, Nolan struggles to maintain herself throughout her path of discovery, learning just how cruel teenagers can be through the pressures of underage drinking, sexuality and class. And despite how life seems to continue to work against her, she still manages to listen to her heart, falling deeper and deeper for the guy the entire town adores, even if he only sees her as a friend. Can Nolan strike a compromise between her own integrity and the boy she loves? And can she make him notice her before it's too late? Reed Johnson came to Coolidge High School with a lot of fanfare. The son of a hometown football legend and the brother of a local football hero, Reed wore all the pressures of carrying a town without hope into the spotlight. Thankfully, he had the talent to back it up. But when he meets a girl who makes him think twice about exactly what being a hero means, he starts to wonder if following in his brother's footsteps might be all wrong. Nolan Lennox was everything that was opposite of expected. She didn't flirt, she didn't drink and she didn't sleep around. Nothing about her was easy, but something about her made Reed want to try harder. Though she didn't look the part, she seemed to be spending a lot of time in Reed's thoughts, and he wondered if she could be the one who made it all worthwhile. But could Reed handle letting her down? And would breaking her heart break him beyond repair?

Alexandria Simmons has never been noticed at her high school, Hartwell High. With only having two best friends, she's actually pretty ok with not having anyone bother her for always having a book in her hand, or for keeping to herself. It's actually pretty surprising that no one had the guts to talk trash about her behind her back, or to laugh at how different she is from the rest of the girls in their student body, well maybe that was because of her older brother; by 1 year, Cameron Simmons, who was sort of like the Troy Bolton of their school, and if you ever got on his bad side, well that would definitely suck for you. Alex had an average life, it was as if she was riding one of those slow kiddy rides at an amusement park, that you were forced to go on by your younger siblings or relatives. Her life was simply too boring, plain, simple, so bland. That was until Mr. Jayce Reynolds stepped into the picture. Jayce Reynolds, who was sort of like a younger cockier version of Cameron. Everyone expected him to take over the football team once Cam graduated. Being only a junior, and being one of the best football players in that school was something everyone idolized him for. He was expected to become a football player by his classmates, or to take over some big corporate company by his dad. Speaking of his dad, his family was probably the most dysfunctional yet peculiar group of people that ever stepped on this earth. Aside from that, having the "perfect" girlfriend and being a part of the "popular" crowd had its perks, but Jayce thought otherwise. He wasn't the perfect person everyone portrayed him to be, and Alex is the person who figures that out. Copyright © 2013 Queenfreakco All Rights Reserved [Updated]: May 25, 2014
