At the Academy Bones, Lex and Jim were inseparable until Lex was assigned to base on Endoran just 2 weeks before the destruction of Vulcan.

Wwhen new crew is required after the fleets flag ship is rebuilt, Jim finally manages to pulls some strings to get her reassigned to the Enterprise as they embark on their 5 year mission into uncharted space.

After 2 years apart Bones finds having her in Med Bay with him trying to say the least, when the tension builds to a point where it can be no longer be ignored they embark on a relationship that could be the making or breaking of them both.
