A girl named Gemma O'Donnals learns something about her history and who she is on her 16th birthday. She thought she lived a normal, boring life. She thought her worst problem would be getting pregnant at 16. But no, her whole world turns upside after she hears the news. 

Now she is in a new world that is different from her own. She learns that the bedtime stories that she was told as a kid are real.  That witches, vampires, werewolves, and the rest actually exist. When she joins a peculiar team to help save her da, she realizes she is up against a lot more than she thought.
