"What if God was one of us?" Credit to Eric Bazzilion, and thanks to Joan Osborne for singing his brain-rattling words. Much earlier, my mother promised that if I applied myself, I could be whatever I wanted when I grew up. Then, from somewhere, I read that the best thing about being a writer is the ability to be anyone you want to be. So, I had quite a blend stirring in my imagination for years before I finally had the luxury of converting that concoction into words, and it shouldn't be entirely surprising that the central narrative of The Ghostwriter Series purports to be the autobiography of God or the Creator as He prefers.

Before dismissing this, consider: Once upon a time, an audacious ape raised its head above the others and thought itself superior. Then, beginning with our first written words, I believe we've become active participants in creating our universe. Consider how far we've come from that first bipedal ape. Imagine explaining our SmartPhones to the Inquisition. From this point, how long until our descendants appear to us as gods, like those of Greek mythology? Are there any limitations, other than our imaginations, to what we can ultimately become if we don't destroy ourselves first?

In light of readers telling me how much they enjoyed the short story collection, "Strange Mutations (one man's trash)", I decided to dig deeper into that old, smelly trash-bin and see what else I could scrounge up. So, readers beware, I will be publishing a slew of old stories under what I decided to call- "The throwback series". I needed to find a way to segregate these stories from my current writing because what's presented here are some rough drafts that spawned from an amateur who was just beginning to dip his toe into the world of literature and didn't have the slightest clue what he was doing. But don't run off!!! As long as you don't expect a bestseller, and keep an open mind, you may be surprised to find something you enjoy about these twisted tales. I do this only because I find it fun to go back as see how much I've grown as a writer from where I started, and only hope you have fun with them as well. Just don't hold it against me. I'll think you'll find a big difference in prose and style if you check out some recent stories under my profile. So first in the Throwback line-up is... Violent Faith. He has his sloppy moments, but if you stick around long enough, he just might surprise you and occasionally knock one out of the park. The title of this novella pretty much covers the plot, so sorry, no description really necessary. I was inspired to write this story after reading Jon Krakauer's novel, "Under the banner of heaven", which was based on true events. My story, however, is completely fictional. It is not meant to be an attack on any certain person or religious group, although it may seem that way at times. I was just having fun. I'm well aware that most Mormons are not psychopaths. It was just a fun theme to play around with. All persons, places, and events are nothing more than my imagination and not to be taken seriously. If you knew me, you'd know I should never be taken seriously. Cheers!! your friend, M.D. Stephens
Adesewa the pregnant corper by ajathena09

After the 3 weeks orientation program of the NYSC, I was posted to a secondary school at Oyan for the one year service. I was given a room on the school compound at the Corpers' quarters. On getting to On getting to Oyan, I started looking for a Pentecostal church where I could be worshipping, and soon I was able to find one. Shortly after I started worshipping in the church, I joined the choir. Fortunately, it was at the time when the choir leader just left the church, and there was nobody to coordinate the members. Before I knew it, I was made the choir leader after being interviewed by the pastor, Pastor Williams. I was loved by everybody in the church, especially the choristers, because of my unique voice. Whenever I sing or lead a song, the whole congregation has a way of murmuring "Huuuuunnnnn!" with a sigh of satisfaction when they hear my voice. Most of the choir members were younger than me, so they call me "aunty" or "Sister Sewa". One of them was Bode, who used to play keyboard for us in the church. He was so gifted when it comes to instruments; there was no instrument he couldn't play. I always felt the presence of God whenever he was on the keyboard. I was named Adesewa after my late grandmother, who passed away shortly before I was born. My dad loved his mum so much, and hence transferred the love to me, believing that his late mother was the one who came back, more so, according to him, I was the mama's carbon copy. It was after he became saved, that he knew he was wrong. My second name was Yetunde. My dad saw me as perfect. Anything I did or said was right, even when I myself knew I was wrong. In a nutshell, I was his favorite. When my mum noticed that daddy was treating me like the apple of his eyes, she wasn't taking things easy with me at all. She spanks me at every slight mistake I made, mostly when my dad wasn't at home.

[DISCONTINUED] "Humans are all different, everyone's unique in their own way", I'm sure you all have heard this at some point in your life. I say that's not true. Everybody is same and not just because of one pair of eyes, ears and limbs. No, It's because of various things that we do at some point of time in our lives. One of them is - Hoping. Hoping for a great life, hoping for a good friend, hoping to get a great boyfriend, and so on. No matter if you believe in god, devil or nothing at all, you hope for something anyway. Arav Tarak, 17 year old kid, kid with not much of a social life except for his two friends and one that would rather sit at home playing games and read books than going at parties. Someone wouldn't leave much of an impression in your mind. That is, until the era of demi-humans came forth. A world-wide phenomenon gave birth to Grimoire and power in humans, who were later termed 'Grimors'. One of those grimors was Lucifer. Will Amar use his abilities to help people? Will he use his ability to become a beacon of hope? Or would this new life give him nothing but sour and back-stabbing aftertaste? Stay tuned to know about it. ______________________________________________________________________________ This was my first story on wattpad and I was really excited about this one. I had abandoned it years ago but now I'm restarting it again by creating another book with few (a lot, to be honest) changes in the plot. Hope you check that out and enjoy it. Until next time.

We have been taught we are the only ones that can hurt ourselves. We are the only ones that could end this Earth. We have been taught wrong. There are forces surrounding us, controlling us, watching us and making sure we fail as a race. There are also forces helping us be better, guiding us towards a more enlightened present and future and both forces have been around us forever. But what if these forces are and have been in a war for thousands and thousands of years. On one side, they want to slave us on the other they need us to be prosperous and reach happiness with ourselves and our lives. What if Angels were just like us? They have their strengths we have our own. What if they had the same issues as we do? Up there or wherever they are coming from. We have a mission in this lifetime, they have the same mission through all their existence. We change our mission with every lifetime, they don't. This would make some Angels feel anger for humankind and there are those who see it as the Father's command and wish and comply just as they were told to do. It is written they had a weakness for human females and it is also written they procreated with them. This story is about the first Angel born from a human female and an Angel who has lived among us since the beginning of time but we have come to the end of times and with it, Angels, the ones on our side, the ones against us, the ones who don't care, and us humans, are facing the end of existence right now.

A Love Story by RobertBHall

This is a love story for in truth it is our story, yours and mine. Two young people met and grew up together. They became acquainted quite by accident on the phone for a business purpose. After weeks of talking, they became very comfortable with one another's personalities and enjoyed the same sense of humor. She then asked him to come to her business for a cup of coffee. Something extraordinary happened, when they looked at one another both were silent and somewhat stunned. An electricity, but not quite, shot between them. This was an energy that neither of them had ever experienced and there were no words to adequately describe what they astonishingly felt. Tears came to their eyes and no words were yet spoken. They simply smiled and were somewhat stunned in the beauty of the moment. Instantly they understood that they'd known one another for a very long time and were simply re-uniting. When she spoke first, he heard what was somewhat like music in the melody of her voice. They were instant lovers. She was, by far, the most beautiful woman he'd ever had the honor to gaze upon. This wasn't simply a physical attraction but much much deeper. In his eyes, she seemed to be surrounded by a type of light. She's radiant. Their remembered love was coming to the surface and would continue to grow for the next twenty years. They were the deepest of friends and understood completely nothing would ever come between them again. They were happy. Bob

Violence usually ensues. That's why he joined the military. A way to channel his urges into mind-numbing physical effort and war. It works for a time. But alcohol and fighting can only carry on for so long. Finally, he realizes, his only way out is suicide. But when he opens his eyes, he's in the In-Between. The creator has other plans for him, and she won't take no for an answer. Apparently, this isn't his first life and if he doesn't free her from her prison, it won't be his last. The mundane replaced by ethereal artificial intelligence, spontaneous virtual realities, and homicidal bible salesmen.
